C. Frazer Shipman, MD

As of February 28th, 2024, this website is now receiving professional advice. Over the next 4 weeks there will be manny changes. Please be patient and we will all benefit.

This is my first time working with a website development corporation and project manager. We completed the initial consultation and the manager will be working on the changes we agreed to for the next 2 to 3 weeks. Then I will be doing editing one or two times. The whole process will take about a month to 6 weeks. I will be adding content during this but the real functionality of the site will not be all there for 4 to 6 weeks. I hope you decide to stick with me during this development of the very first website with a county level study group focused on Medicare for All for Massachusetts.

Franklin County Study Group Project

Thank you for visiting this website. Please know that this is the very first website devoted to studying a bill that brings the benefits of universal single payer Canadian style health care to all the residents of a U.S. state!! Since it is the first time this has been done, there will be some growing pains. The site will be changing every few days for the next month or two. I had my first consultation with my website project manager today and we will be working intensively on the site for the next month. While I am working with the manager, I will be adding information, events, and links. Please be a little patient and you will be greatly rewarded.

Hampden County

On February 20th, 2024, I visited Baystate Medical Center and Caring Health Center's 1049 Main St location. I left information and invited physicians to contact our group by emailing legislation@masscare.org. If any of you get to this paragraph on this website and if you have more questions for me, email me at drshipman@cfrazershipmanmd.com. Many thanks

Healthcare reform methods that work

Evidence based and field tested

I have been doing healthcare reform projects since 1971 when I was a med student at Penn State's Medical College. I continued developing my knowledge, skills, and real life experience during my family medicine residency, and my fellowship in health services research. I have completed multiple publications, papers, booklets, websites, political actions, and medical society resolutions.

We must build a large grassroots effort based on evidence and well planned activism

Thousands of activists have worked on two Massachusetts Medical Society Medicare for All resolutions over the last three years. This project is currently active.

Mass-care (masscare.org), PNHP (pnhp.org), the new Mass General Brigham house-staff union and many more are working to move Massachusetts toward a statewide single payer healthcare system.

Over 500,000 citizen activists are already at work

Many of us have been working at this for many decades. Our current bill, An Act Establishing Medicare for All in Massachusetts has been in development for over 20 years.
